My CFCI Mission Trip

Short-term missions. Long-term relationships.

Midland E-Free Team

Midland is a team that came to serve with us in June 2009 from Midland, Michigan. The team had 7 people and worked with the Guaymi Indians in the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica. After a day of orientation, the team had a 9 hour bus ride to the town of La Palma. After the bus got unloaded, they hiked about a half hour and crossed a river to get to the Guaymi Reservation. While there, they closed in a bathroom, hauled wood planks out of the jungle, and dug a lot of dirt. The team also came prepared with programs for the Guaymi children and adults. The theme of the programs was the creation story. This team was the first one that was not a medical team. We saw God work in great ways in the lives of the Guyami people and the lives of the team members.
