El Salvador Feels Effects of Hurricane Ida

Just a few days ago, Hurricane Ida swept the Central America Atlantic coastline and leaving the people of these countries to clean up the aftermath. We heard from CFCI missionary Javier in El Salvador that many people are without food and shelter. Yesterday CFCI missionaries and a church went to give donations of food that they had received from friends and supporters to the Bendicion de Dios neighborhood. Javier said that there is still much to be done as people have lost their houses and need help to get sheets of metal (to remake the houses and roofs) and more food. Please pray for the people in El Salvador and the other Central American countries who were affected by Hurricane Ida. Also, if you would like to help make a donation, please click here.

Beloved
I wrote last year of Bendicion de Dios (see wordpress cite) , which I visited with my son on a short trip to El Salvador. His photographs are on his wonderful web site: (http://www.jesusfloresfotos.com/benediction/). Hearing vague stories of the destruction recently wrought by hurricane Ida on El Salvador, I wondered about Bendicion de Dios and how it fared from the hurricane. Can you elaborate and/or do you have any more photographs? I would like to do a story for our local PBS radio.
The situation in El Salvador after the Hurricane has not been good. Bendicion de Dios has had 4 deaths, however, other communities have been almost completely destroyed- families and shelters. I was just able to post more about the situation. We would appreciate any help that you can bring- awareness to monetary.
May the Lord Bless You,
