SERVE IN NICARAGUA
Pastoral/ Leadership Training:

Lack of training and resources for pastors and church leaders is a major problem in Nicaragua. Most pastors have no formal education, and no theological training. Sometimes congregations choose their pastors simply because they are one of the only members able to read. Bringing a pastoral training team to minister to Nicaraguans in church leadership would be a huge blessing to the local churches that work in partnership with CFCI.
Youth Leader Training:

Local churches are in need of training for their youth leaders. Your team can put together a day camp for youth in an area church, ministering to the youth through drama, evangelism, games, and activities. While serving and connecting with the youth, you will also be modeling youth ministry to the leaders of the church who are all to often unsure of how to run a youth program or create activities geared toward teens.
Teacher Training:

If you have a team with a background in education bring your skills to Nicaragua where you can assist teachers who have limited access to resources, support, and continuing education. Help meet a very real need for new techniques, ideas, and activities in the classroom while connecting relationally with your colleagues in Nicaragua.
Children’s Ministry:

Our missionaries in Nicaragua work hard to develop strong, lasting relationships with the local church. You can help CFCI-Nicaragua establish connections with new churches and build on these relationships though children’s ministry. Bringing a day camp, Sunday school, VBS, or games and crafts to a local church will serve them threefold. You will minister to their children, showing them the love and truth of Jesus, you will help teach and train the church’s leaders in how to operate similar children’s program for the future, and you will also help CFCI strengthen its relationship with the church and allow our missionary staff to serve the congregation through offering programs and training. Bringing a short-term mission team to work with a church is an excellent way to begin to build relationships that last and produce fruit long after you have gone home.
